The logo uses the Hinomaru motif which represents the sun. Initials of Daruma Energy are carved into the circle in a way that resembles a daruma doll lying on its side.　There is a Japanese saying, Nana-korobi Ya-oki, which literally means “Fall 7 times, rise 8 times.” This logo represents such a concept.
